Zatori was designed with weddings in mind and we are a sought after wedding location. We can provide the complete package with our sensational private lawn area, large enough for either one or both of the wedding couple to arrive by private helicopter, make a grand entrance and meet their guests.
Our beautiful setting is totally private. Our panoramic views provide the ideal backdrop for wedding photography and we enjoy beautiful light in the early evening. We can recommend an excellent photographer and there are a number of romantic settings nearby for photographs, including a stunning old wharf 300m from Zatori Retreat.
We are fully licensed and can cater for the full wedding breakfast or you can bring in your own favourite chef to take over our kitchen and personalise your special day.
We have a large lounge area which opens out onto a huge deck, ideal for both indoor and outdoor events depending on the weather. The lawn is large enough to accommodate a marquee tent and to cater for larger groups if required.
Collingwood is becoming a hot destination spot for many reasons. Remote feeling but with all weather access makes life easy. Weddings, conferences, special occasions + NZ’s most famous beach, Wharariki, & Farewell Spit… not to mention being cocooned by 2 National Parks – Kahaurangi and Abel Tasman. Collingwood has a cool village vibe and is a 5 minute walk away, with lots of other accommodation for all friends and family.

It brings me great joy to be such a special part of people’s lives. I am born and bred in Golden Bay and my children are 5th generation Golden Bay. I am proud of our heritage and love to be involved in weddings both on and off site.
I brought the old hospital in Collingwood at the end of 2013 and converted it into the gorgeous retreat it is today. It is pretty gorgeous energy here, and a wonderful back up plan if couples want to get married at the beach or choose to marry here.
I am naturally a joyful warm person and l love to help make dreams come true. l welcome same sex marriages and am flexible with marrying couples at the stunning Wharariki Beach or anywhere in the bush or mountain top.
